Mind

The following was made in 2006/2007 as a contest entry for "On the Lot," a film-making reality TV show produced by Steven Spielberg. I was not a winner... but neither was the show. (It was awful.)

Regardless, I ended up producing a piece, that I, to this day am still very proud of... even if it* does make me cringe a bit. But I think that is true for most of the things our younger selves did.

Mind contains violent imagery and adult language. Viewer discretion is advised.

This version has been slightly modified. I removed the original introduction, its purpose was to introduce (and attempt to show off) for the "On the Lot" submission. And while cool, I decided to remove it for this version, but you can watch it here if you are interested.

I also replaced the music at: with something basically identical. It was originally just some generic rock song that I had gotten off a "free music website" (in 2007) but YouTube flagged it immediately. Content ID is insane! Anyway, that's all the George Lucasing I did, I swear!

Mind was made during a pretty dark time in my life, honestly most of my life felt dark pre 2011. I might talk more about it in the future, this film was definitely an attempt to exorcise some demons, or at the very least, try to shed some light on them. That said, while present me dresses all in black and still has a fondness for the "dark", my life has never had more "color."

I have never been happier.
